How it works
What this result means
The annual salary is what a full-year, full-time position at your hourly rate would pay. It lets you compare an hourly offer against a salaried one on an equal basis.
Formula:
Annual = Hourly × Hours per week × 52
Where:
52 = weeks in a year
Standard full-time = 40 hours/week → 2,080 hours/year
Monthly = Annual ÷ 12
Biweekly = Annual ÷ 26
- Enter your hourly rate and weekly hours
- Multiply rate × hours × 52 for the annual figure
- Divide by 12 for monthly, by 26 for biweekly
- Adjust hours if you work a non-standard schedule
Example
$25/hour × 40 hours × 52 weeks = $52,000/year. Monthly ≈ $4,333. Biweekly ≈ $2,000.

Common questions
- What hours per year are used? Annual salary = Hourly rate - Hours per week - 52. So 40 hours/week - 52 = 2,080 hours per year. Change hours per week for part-time.
